The special LCV for door and window thresholds
The need to eliminate architectural barriers has changed, in recent years, the way many elements of construction are conceived.
Among these, the shape, dimensions, and proportions of thresholds for doors and windows have been increasingly defined, leading to the creation of specific standards.
This type of processing on the stone piece is particularly delicate and labor-intensive: if done manually, the precision required by the standards is difficult to achieve, while with a work center, it is a very slow process. A polisher can easily and quickly solve the problem, but these machines are often more expensive and versatile than a dedicated machine, and using them only for thresholds or little else would be an unprofitable investment.
Marmo Meccanica has therefore conceived the new LCV-ST: it is a special version of the famous LCV, and can do everything that the basic version can do, namely polish flat edges with bevels on thicknesses up to 60 mm, but with something extra.

The peculiarity of this machine lies in the axis of the polishing spindles, which can be tilted from the base position of 90° to a minimum angle of 14° with the surface of the piece. This feature allows shaping and polishing the surface at the desired angle, and with the same speed and quality as the normal flat edge, greatly increasing the large-scale production of thresholds.
All functions and geometric calculations are electronically managed, and the operator only needs to enter the required measurements on the convenient touch-screen display.
